Newsman Gunned Down in Possible Hit
Journalist Chauncey Bailey was shot to death today, the target of a suspected hit in Oakland, California. Witnesses are reporting that a lone masked gunman fired four shots before fleeing the scene, and police say no arrests have been made. Bailey was a respected, outspoken newsman who had recently become editor of the Oakland Post. [AP]
