• Double standard: John Edwards thinks Americans should give up their SUVs—unless the American is John Edwards.

• New show, old story: Fox's fall show New Amsterdam seems mighty similar to author Pete Hamill's 2002 novel Forever. Not quite lawsuit similar, but close.

• Dead head: Will half-dead Pete Doherty play a full-dead zombie in Buffy spin-off Ripper? If the world is just and fair he will.

• Suspicions confirmed: If you ever saw Hogan Knows Best you probably thought Nick Hogan's brutal car wreck had something to do with re-enacting scenes from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Seems you were right.
