Suspicious Powder Found at ABC Bureau

  • From an e-mail from ABC News president David Westin: "Contractors doing some work in the basement of our Washington bureau came across some powder they found suspicious. Out of an abundance of caution we have evacuated the facility until the authorities can confirm that this is nothing to worry about. We will let you know when we have further word." An ABC News spokeswoman adds: "That's all I know for you right now. I don't really know the details."

    UPDATE: From an ABC News spokeswoman: "We just got the all-clear. It was nonhazardous, and everybody's headed back inside."
