Idol Creator's Next Step: Spice Boys

It takes a special kind of man to carve out a future in "Spice Boys." Simon Fuller, the British reality TV guru behind Pop Idol, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance?, and the Spice Girls is that kind of visionary. The manager for the girl group during their most successful years, Fuller plans to capitalize on their second go-round with a new show about the search for their back-up dancers, lovingly referred to as "The Spice Boys." He's reportedly hoping the show will garner publicity for their upcoming tour.

British gossip newsletter Popbitch announced yesterday that the show was in the works, including the fact that the girls will sit on the judging panel but that the dancers will be decided by public vote. (Pick carefully, people—both Ginger and Sporty spice are rumored to have shagged their back-up dancers during Spice Girls 1.0.)

While the girls came together for the reunion announcement press conference and to make the above creepily excited video, Fuller's show might be their only opportunity for the Spiceys to see each other before they start touring. As it stands now, the girls are spread across various continents promoting the tour individually. The good news for stateside fans: Posh Spice (we can officially call her that again!) Victoria Beckham, who has taken the American arm of the press tour, does The Tonight Show next Thursday.
