Oh, Spencer Pratt, always getting into trouble. One might think he'd be content as the beneficiary of his newly buxom fiancée, Heidi Montag's, fame. Instead, he gets kicked out of Los Angeles nightclubs with sidekick and professional rich kid Brody Jenner and gets into fistfights with other D-listers. And then lies to the press about it.

On Saturday, Pratt got into a "physical altercation" with Nicole Richie's beau and presumed BD, Joel Madden at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Allegedly, Madden marched over to Pratt's table and yelled, "you've been talking shit about my girl!" ostensibly referring to the fact that Pratt did, in fact, call Richie a "skinny bitch" in a months-old interview with Details. The pair had to be pried off each other and promptly removed.

The high point of the whole scenario is the explanation that Pratt fed to In Touch Weekly, claiming "I was misquoted [in Details], calling Nicole a skinny bitch. It's all a misunderstanding. I've always thought she's a really nice girl and I wouldn't call her that."

Not according to the writer of said Details piece, David Amsden. "Everything I quoted is on tape, and I stand behind my story 100 percent," Amsden tells Radar. "He knows what he said."

So who is to be believed? A seasoned journalist who claims to have solid evidence of Pratt's verbal diarrhea? Or a frosted blond ankle-biter whose fame consists of a few appearances on The Hills and a few dubious business ventures?
