< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Will Australia Throw Dogg a Bone?
While actual paperwork has not emerged, Snoop doesn't have a fighting chance of doing it doggy-style down under. The first hurdle for Snoop is the residency requirement of living in Australia for four years—that's gonna be a bit tough, given that he's never been allowed in the country. Second, as an applicant over the age of 16, the Doggfather would need to prove his "good character." Having failed the Australian character test before, such a demonstration will be a hard sell. Also, the pioneer gangster rapper will need to wait at least 10 years since his last conviction before calling the outback his home. He could miss almost all of John Stamos's ragers in that time. Still, MTV Australia is undaunted. They've set up a site where rabid Dogg fans can petition the Aussie government to naturalize Snoop and bring the commonwealth back to its noble jailbird roots.
