Radar Needs a Hug

HUG IT OUT* Amma
Who doesn't need a big ol' healing hug? Bring it in, people. Radar entered the Manhattan Center just before 6 p.m. Wednesday night in the pouring rain for the first of a three-day squeeze-a-thon with hugging spiritual leader from India, Amma (Mother). We'd like to share the experience.
Volunteers warmly welcomed us and instructed us to walk upstairs and wait for a hug token. An hour passed. We were then escorted down to the first floor, where we received a small square sheet of paper with our magic number, E5. First-timers got yellow dots to wear and were assured a place in front to view the 53-year-old Amma (born Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi) pre-embrace. Front-row seats filled up quickly, but Radar, now in need of some serious affection, found a seat up close.
