Hot on the heels of Jane's closure today comes news that Bauer Publications has opted to cancel the launch of Cocktail Weekly, the low-priced lifestyle magazine for women in their 20s. More than a dozen staffers, some reporting to work for the first time today, were told they wouldn't be needed in an impromptu meeting held about an hour ago.
