HOUSE OF STYLE Vidal's $19.5M Mulholland Drive place in Bel-Air

Not only did Vidal Sassoon invent the precision bob, he also appreciates a good flip. In late 2004, the octogenarian hair cutter bought a long, low Richard Neutra-designed house and oversaw a meticulous renovation. Now, he's put it back on the market for an astounding $19,500,000. Never underestimate the value of architectural pedigree.

Originally built in 1959 and located at the end of a long, winding driveway that peels off Mulholland Drive, it sits above Bel-Air with panoramic views of the Catalina Islands. There's an art gallery in the joint, as well as a massive kitchen and a sprawling swimming pool—all stunning. Because if Vidal Sassoon's place doesn't look good, he doesn't look good.
