The Icy Backstory on Frost/Nixon

METHOD MADNESS Langella
Frank Langella may have won a Tony last night for his portrayal of Richard Nixon in Peter Morgan's Broadway hit Frost/Nixon, but sources close to Radar tell us the play's best drama has taken place backstage.
For starters, the two leading men, Langella and Michael Sheen, did not exactly hit it off when the play opened in London last August. Apparently Langella's financial demands, and lack of UK cachet to support them, caused a rift to develop between the two actors, eventually leading to them refusing to share a curtain call. When Sheen was nominated for Best Actor at a London theater awards ceremony, guess who turned down the chance to present another award? Langella.
