After holding a contest to let supporters pick her campaign song, Clinton announced the winner this morning on her website: Dion's "You and I." (Sample lyric: "You and I / were meant to fly / Higher than the clouds / We'll sail across the sky.")
Clinton unveiled the track with a video segment parodying the final scene of The Sopranos. In the clip, Clinton takes a booth in a diner and starts flipping through the selections on the boombox. She's soon joined by her husband, who notifies her that Chelsea is parking the car. The video even includes a segment from an actual Sopranos character (albeit one who died of cancer before the show's actual finale): John "Johnny Sack" Sacramoni, played by actor Vince Curatola.
Still, Clinton gets points for cultural relevancy with the timely parody—and then loses those points for having a campaign song by Celine Dion.
