LESS LAWSUIT IN THE MONITOR! Storch

It's not quite smooth sailing aboard the S.S. Storchavelli these days. Tuff Jew record label founder Scott Storch—who banks $100,000 a track making beats for the likes of 50 Cent and Beyoncé—is being sued for failing to pay back a $100,000 loan given to him by record label LA Confidential's owner David Menefield in 2003, according to allhiphop.com.

As part of an alleged accord struck between the two, Storch was also to supply Menefield with four tracks for an artist Menefield was managing at the time. Menefield claims his two previous attempts to get Storch to repay the money have been fruitless; he has now enlisted the help of another tough Jew, lawyer Bret D. Lewis, to recover the $550,000 in damages he's seeking.

Storch may be a diminutive pot-smoking twit, but he's not short on cash: Rolling Stone valued his fortune at $70 million in 2006.
