One typically equates the Gap with khakis, not couture. Similarly, Manhattanites usually associate the neighborhood around the newly opened Bowery Hotel more with homelessness than hauteness. Regardless, countless models and socials helped Vogue celebrate the launch of the T-shirt emporium's Design Editions collection at the Bowery, where the champagne flowed freely and the deep-fried mozzarella hors d'oeuvres were glared at longingly but rarely touched.
