COUNTDOWN PALACE 200 East 69th Street, 40th Floor, NYC

Apparently Keith Olbermann made out well on his recent contract negotiations. The MSNBC host of Countdown with Keith Olbermann has purchased a five-room, 40th floor apartment for a whopping $4.2 million, the New York Observer reports today.

Sure, the place has spectacular views through its floor to ceiling windows, but it also claims a 31-foot living room, three balconies, and enough closet space for dozens of slightly loose TV-friendly suits. We never figured Olbermann for a resident of Trump Palace, though, stacked as it is with typically Trumpy touches like old-fashioned parquet floors, windowless kitchens, marble bathrooms with tacky gold-plated fixtures, and obscenely glitzy brass and glass lobbies. Maybe he's redecorating as we speak.
