WHY NOT THE MEATPACKING DISTRICT? Jolie, Haven at Tribeca

• Angelina Jolie may have impeccable taste in charitable endeavors and adorable orphans, but her taste in nightlife is another matter. Most in-the-know New Yorkers flee the bridge-and-tunnel scene in the Meatpacking District on weekend evenings, but Jolie and brother James Haven recovered from their day at the Tribeca Film Festival by taking a police escort to the northeast corner of 14th Street and 9th Avenue at 10 p.m. on Friday: the belly of the beast.

While one would think that an A-List celeb bored of media attention might go for a less obvious locale (T.G.I.Fridays or Applebee's come to mind), Jolie looked no less than thrilled when they were thronged by waiting paps and local earthy eccentric "Radio Man." An aghast onlooker was shocked to see the siblings' destination. "They're not seriously going into Pop Burger, are they?"
