Lock up your daughters: Anand Jon Alexander, the Indian fashion designer and celebrity hanger-on arrested last month on charges of rape and sexual assault, is back on the outside.

Alexander was released last night after an immigration court ruled that a detaining order placed on him at the time of his arrest was unwarranted, according to a statement from his attorney. (We reported earlier that friends of Alexander had been receiving instant messages from his account claiming he had been freed. His lawyer refused to comment at the time, and Radar has since learned that someone else was using his screen name.)

Now, there's just the matter of those pesky sexual assault charges. Alexander has a court hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning.
