Who says John Kerry doesn't inspire passionate devotion among his followers—or at least the ones who work for him?

Our 400-word write-up of the Massachusetts senator's appearance at the 92nd Street Y last night to plug his new book inspired a 600-word rebuttal from a commenter calling herself "KarenNJ." "John Kerry's environmental credentials go back as far as Al Gore's," she wrote. "Should there be only one politician advocating for saner environmental policies?"

Coincidentally, KarenNJ also weighed in on the New York Observer's account of the appearance. "As one of the people lucky enough to have attended yesterday, I am amazed that you completely ignored Kerry's comments on the substantive issues," she complained, capping her rant at a mere 526 words.
