AUSTRALIAN FOR QUEER Koalas

Britney's love of Sapphic group sex is well-documented, but she's got nothing on the koala bear. According to Australian researchers, captive female koalas have been rejecting the advances of male suitors, instead preferring the warm embrace of their fellow female eucalyptus-eaters by a 3:1 ratio.

It gets kinkier. Says one researcher, "On several occasions more than one pair of females shared the same pole, and multiple females mounted each other simultaneously. At least one multiple encounter involved five female koalas."

Scientists are unsure why the furry marsupials are going gay—theories range from their desire to attract males to stress relief—but say the behavior is strictly female. Maybe it's the weed.
