< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Weinstein Hijacks Oscar Fashion for his Girlfriend![]() HARVEY'S GIRL Chapman, with Craig Say what you will about the odd couple—neither Chapman's line nor her acting career has exactly been hurt by Harvey's golden touch. The Weinstein Company produced the last three films she has appeared in, The Nanny Diaries, Factory Girl, and Derailed. Sienna Miller, star of Factory Girl, wore Marchesa to this year's Golden Globes, and stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe was front row center at Marchesa's fall collection in New York. The Times is careful to point out that it has never properly reviewed Marchesa, but it's clearly seething. This is the second time in less than a month that the paper has questioned Marchesa's ties to fashion and Hollywood insiders. Earlier this month, fashion writer Cathy Horyn mentioned the Chapman/Weinstein link in a profile of Vogue EIC Anna Wintour, saying, "Many fashion insiders and critics feel that by promoting labels of dubious design merit but with an obvious social or power connection, like Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, whose companion is the producer Harvey Weinstein, she [Wintour] leaves herself open to the complaint that her magazine promotes a kind of a pedantry."
