While the fashion herd has moved on to Eurotrashier pastures, the heady musk of drama still lingers in Bryant Park. At least for some people. Despite multiple published reports placing her in the second row—and seeing her sitting there with our very own peepers— Marie Claire EIC Joanna Coles swears, swears, swears she was sitting front and center at Vera Wang. (We hope her flacks are getting paid overtime.)

In the absence of photographic evidence, we're inclined to take her word. But the fashion world now has a serious mystery on its hands: Who in the hell was the Joanna Coles impersonator we spotted glowering from row two? Is security at the tents that lax these days? Says one of the other six mistaken people we spoke to who also saw said interloper:

"Smack dab in the second row, there was Joanna Coles with her soccer mom haircut. I thought it was really bizarre."

Bizarre indeed! Even Miss Anna doesn't have a body double! Perhaps things at Marie Claire are going better than we'd heard?
