HUGE IN BEIRUT Heatherette
While journalists from prestigious outlets like the New York Times waited 45 minutes in the cold Tuesday night to get into the Heatherette show, an unexpected threesome from Middle Eastern AlHurra TV was enjoying unfettered backstage access.
"They really love fashion and New York over there," said Assia Pojo, the network's style correspondent. The 28-year-old Lebanese reporter told Radar that AlHurra, based in Washington, D.C., broadcasts to 22 countries in the region, "including Iraq." (The network's website notes that AlHurra, Arabic for "The Free One," is a "commerical-free Arabic language satellite television network for the Middle East devoted primarily to news and information.")
