Amazon Wish Lists of the Rich & Famous

kimora_021207_FRESH.jpg
FOR ME?! Kimora Lee Simmons
You'd think that with all the swag celebrities get, their material needs would be well satisfied. Apparently not, judging from the wish lists they post on Amazon. Just like us ordinary folk, the rich and famous keep tabs on the stuff they'd kinda like to own but can't be bothered to purchase for themselves.

From media minor leaguer Nick Denton to glossy boss Graydon Carter to lad mag cover girl Beth Ostrosky to catwalk Godzilla Kimora Lee Simmons, a full range of celebrities is represented.

After the jump a sample of what some actors, politicos, and media types are hoping you'll buy them. What are you waiting for?

Tina Fey
When she's not being snarky, the acerbic funnywoman likes to be touched. She wishes she had Steve Martin's Parenthood and an Ann Lamott book.

Jessica Alba
Like the characters she plays, the Sin City cutie's tastes are a mix of tender and tough: boxing gear, chick lit, jewelry, and bath supplies.

Nick Denton
Our advice for the head of Gawker Media: Go ahead and buy yourself that Po Bronson book about Silicon Valley. You can write that shit off!

George Stephanopoulos
The ABC talking head and former White House advisor is quite the music buff, with tastes ranging from Ravi Shankar to jazz to mambo music. There's probably a Clinton joke in there somewhere, but we give up.

Arianna Huffington
Somebody ought to tell the queen of the digital media revolution about a little invention called the iPod. Or you could just buy her that portable CD player she's been waiting for.

Jack Abramoff and Linsey Crisler
Good thinking requesting both the theatrical and extended cuts of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Jack. You sure have plenty of time on your hands.

"Baby" Federline
We don't know if this is the wish list for Britney, Kevin, Sean, or Jaden, but Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Usher, and the Sony Playstation make us believe that somebody clicked on these with Cheeto-encrusted fingers.

Carson Kressley
We don't know what's sadder: that Carson put his own book on his wish list or that it hasn't been purchased for him yet.

Rachel Dratch
We hope Rachel is keeping busy now that she's no longer on SNL, but watching Road House isn't exactly what we had in mind.

Drew Barrymore
Is Drew contemplating a new career as a cross-dressing serial killer? For the sake of Us Weekly's sales, we certainly hope so.

Charles Krauthammer
A preeminent neoconservative and Iraq War supporter, Krauthammer would of course like to see a more muscular foreign policy and a transformed Middle East. But what he'd like even more is a pair of stonewashed jeans.

Eliot Mintz
Once upon a time, Mintz hung out with John Lennon. Now he holds Paris Hilton's hair while she regurgitates tequila shooters. No wonder he's feeling nostalgic for the old days and awaiting a copy of Imagine.

Zach Braff
You knew from Garden State that he was sensitive, but did you know this young actor/writer/director is also neat (a Dustbuster), outdoorsy (camping equipment), and too cheap to buy his own razor (a razor)?

Mariska Hargitay
To think, if the Law and Order SVU star had only shelled out for a copy of Raging Bull, she wouldn't need a wish list. And then she wouldn't be in this story.

Graydon Carter
Sometimes we question the taste of Vanity Fair's editor in chief. (Tom Ford on the Hollywood Issue?) But it's hard to harsh on his wish for a hardcover copy of Butterfield 8.

Ari Fleischer
Being a handmaiden to power apparently whetted this former White House flack's appetite for presidential trivia. He's hoping to receive biographies of James Polk, James Buchanan, Zachary Taylor, and Millard Fillmore.

Beth Ostrosky
FHM's favorite cover girl is hoping to receive books on witchcraft and daily affirmations. It's almost like you need to be a little strange to go out with Howard Stern.

Kimora Lee Simmons
What do you get for the woman who literally has everything? The Shrek edition of the board game Operation, obviously. What are you, a moron?

Comments

The 'Carson Kressley' wishlist belons to a fan. Not to Carson. It belongs to some chick on livejournal who likes to use the name Mrs Carson Kressley. She is getting a huge kick out of this!
