STILL HERE, STILL LONELY Bree
Whatever happened to Lonelygirl15? No, not Jessica Lee Rose, the actress who portrayed the fake teenage video blogger and found herself on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on the cover of Wired last year. We're talking about Bree, the actual lonely girl who supposedly made the videos in her bedroom and posted them on YouTube: Did her overbearing and religious father ever get off her back? Did she ever find love? Is she still lonely?

You could be forgiven for not caring. Luckily for you—and Bree—the New York Times's Virginia Heffernan, whose love for the Lonelygirl has long been established—is still watching. In today's paper, the Web Review critic offers a roundup of what's been going on in Lonelyworld since the rest of us moved on. Did you know her "dad" had been "murdered"? Or that she's now "friends" with American Idol's Katherine McPhee?

Exciting stuff, we're sure. (We're too busy thinking about the dissolution of RocketBoom to really immerse ourselves.) But Heffernan, ever faithful, remains smitten with the actressgirl behind the lonelygirl:

As a serial drama too, "Lonelygirl15" has kept its first unbeatable asset, the one that has nothing to do with new technology. It's the girl: Jessica Lee Rose. As the series goes on, Ms. Rose continues to mix moodiness, charm and precociousness, and her witchcraft casts a serious spell.
Seriously.
