Yesterday's Telegraph unveils a new species of "toxic wives," spoiled, cashmere-swathed debutantes who have morphed into do-nothing tyrants. In this massive "bait and swap," Oxbridge-educated trophy wives are conspiring to marry wealthy men in order to quit their jobs and spend the day berating the Filipina maid or "rotting [their brains] with alcohol." These "overpampered slugs" have terrorized their I-banker husbands by withholding home cooked meals and indulging in too many naps, spa days, and boozy book club meetings.
