Nestled among the nominations for the 79th annual Academy Awards is one film that stands above all others: Babel, Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu's stirring meditation on the inter-connectedness of ... seriously, who are we kidding? We didn't see Babel. None of our friends saw Babel. And with a mere $23,658,240 in domestic box office, we're assuming you didn't either.

So, what's the deal?
