Regan Rant Pulled from Sirius Show

'SEX MANIAC'? Regan
Judith Regan's Sirius radio show aired as scheduled this morning—but an exchange with a blogger that supposedly played a role in her firing was not part of the broadcast.

Ron Hogan, who co-writes the book publishing blog Galleycat, was interviewed by Regan last week for a segment on Peter Golenbock's "fictional memoir" of Mickey Mantle. During the interview, she went into a rant about how the "backstabbers at HarperCollins" had made her the scapegoat for the outcry over the O.J. Simpson book, If I Did It.

But Hogan is not among the guests featured on the newest edition of the show, which airs seven times today on Sirius Stars channel 102. The guest lineup includes Megan Mullaly, Jane Seymour, psychiatrist Mitch Golant, and Liz Goldwyn, author of Pretty Things: The Last Generation of Burlesque Queens.

During Goldwyn's segment, Regan did touch on the Simpson flap, insisting that she'd done no wrong by HarperCollins or its parent, News Corp. "I've published every imaginable book," she told Goldwyn.

"There are people who have their own personal agendas. I run a business that's owned by people who own the stocks. My job is to publish books that make money. I've made this company millions and millions—hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues. I have not received one complaint from my bosses."

"What happened with the Simpson thing has yet to be revealed," she added. "But there's a lot more to the story."

"Maybe that's your next book?" offered Goldwyn.

"If I don't get murdered first—which I've been threatened with," answered Regan.

In an earlier segment, Regan and Golant discussed the holiday blues, which gave Regan a chance to share some mental health tips.

"Become a workaholic," she advised. "It is a wonderful escape from life. Repress, deny, and escape."

And if that doesn't work, medicate. "When I went through menopause, I had horrible mood swings," she said. Then she went on testosterone. "Within two weeks of taking it, I was a different person. No more sadness. I then understood how men think and feel. I became a sex maniac during this time."

She continued, "You realize the power of hormones. Everything is sexy. Sometimes it's not you, it's your hormones."

Hogan's GalleyCat co-editor, Sarah Weinman, told Radar no one there knew the segment would be cut from today's Sirius broadcast. Whether it was Regan, her lawyers, or Sirius who decided to pull the segment is still unclear. Messages left for Sirius were not immediately returned.

Is it me , or is she hot . I'm not kidding .
