Hollywood heavyweight Jon Peters has problems—and not just the fresh harassment suit from a former employee and his ex-wife, Christine, who is seeking custody of their daughters and ownership of their house. Peters spent three-and-a-half weeks in treatment for opiate and marijuana dependence, sedative abuse, and a raft of "psychosocial and environmental problems," according to a rehab discharge report obtained by Radar. The three-page summary was issued when the Superman Returns producer checked out of The Canyon at Peace Park's rehab program on Aug. 4, and it offers a glimpse into his chaotic life.

Upon departing The Canyon, he committed to daily 12-step meetings and "meditation/prayer," twice-weekly sessions with an addiction counselor, and "ongoing work on forgiveness and interpersonal issues...." The report noted that Peters had been free of any substances for at least 45 days, not including, of course, a new cocktail of prescription meds he was ordered to take.

"Jon has made significant progress in forgiving his family and himself for past behaviors," observed Peters's counselor.

If only his former assistants were so forgiving.
