Scientology Scrubs Foley From Its Site

CACHE AND CARRY Foley (far right) and friends
Mark Foley's press is so bad, even the Scientologists want nothing to do with him. Following speculation that the disgraced ex-congressman was receiving treatment for alcoholism at a Scientology-run rehab center in Clearwater, Florida, the Church's Flag Service Organization has removed a photo of Foley from its website.
A cached version of the page shows Foley accepting leather-bound copies of two books by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard—Dianetics and The Way to Happiness—from a Church official at a brunch hosted by the Clearwater Business Association. The Flag Service Organization is a religious retreat for Scientologists, while the Clearwater Business Association appears to be a front group designed to give the Church easier access to politicians.
