Another Katie Has Tom's Baby

SURI-REAL Katie Couric
Predictions that Katie Couric would sex up the CBS Evening News may turn out to be right. We hear she'll be channelling the spirit of the Today show in her debut tonight by featuring Vanity Fair's exclusive photos of Suri Cruise, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Sources say that Couric will close the telecast with a look at the shots of the never-seen-in-public baby, including the magazine's cover photo and a photo from VF's October issue, which the magazine is releasing tomorrow. "We're all stunned," says an executive at another network of the decision. "Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw ... they wouldn't even think of touching this." Others see the move as a slap in the face of her old bosses at NBC. "It would be a huge fuck-you to the Today show," says a celebrity magazine editor.
