As same sex couples across America fight for equal marriage rights, two gay penguins at a Madrid Zoo are being treated like every other loving couple and have been given an egg of their own to care for.
Inca and Rayas, Gentoo penguins at Faunia Park in Madrid, Spain, had suffered repeated heartache after six nests they carefully built remained empty because they couldn’t breed, reported the Telegraph.co.uk.

In a reenactment of the famous tiger stealing scene from The Hangover, three drunk Australians stole a much less dangerous creature this week, and RadarOnline.com has video of their wasted watery antics.
The inebriated trio broke into Sea World Australia on Queensland's Gold Coast on Saturday night and after stripping down to their underwear and diving in a pool, they decided to get a souvenir of their adventure and take a penguin home with them.

Apparently Newt Gingrich was never taught not to pet animals at the zoo!
During a visit to the St. Louis Zoo on Friday, the Republican presidential contender and animal lover paid a visit to the penguins, getting a little too close for comfort to one of the flightless birds– and RadarOnline.com has the details.

Gingrich was visiting the zoo’s penguin collection on a private tour, when one of their two Magellanic penguins bit his finger.
"During that visit, as Speaker Gingrich indicated in an interview with a national media outlet, he was nipped on the finger by a penguin," zoo public relations director Susan Gallagher said in a statement.

The career -- and life -- of poor little Til, was over before it even started.
The rare, super cute, baby bunny was born without ears in a small zoo in Limbach-Oberfrohna in Saxony, eastern Germany, and was set to become a media darling before his short life was prematurely ended by a clumsy cameraman.

Til was ready to make his world debut at a press conference Thursday, happily lolloping around blissfully unaware that the grim reaper was already knocking at his door, reported SPIEGEL ONLINE.

Charlie The Smoking Chimp Has Died

Charlie, the chimpanzee who became famous for his smoking habit, has taken his last puff.
The 52 year-old South African chimp died Tuesday at the Bloemfontein Zoo where he had been a fixture for years.

Charlie first started smoking five years ago when zoo visitors would throw lit cigarettes into his exhibit.
