The man who viciously beat up Nic Cage’s son Weston was his high school wrestling coach and had been hired to protect the actor’s son, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Kevin Villegas, who has been described in other reports as Weston’s personal trainer, was his coach at Beverly Hills high school and also has martial arts expertise.

The brutal beating was caught on video and is now the subject of a police investigation.
