Cardinals Manager Tony La Russa Retires Following World Series Win

Just three days after leading the St. Louis Cardinals to the World Series championship, legendary manager Tony La Russa announced his retirement from managing in a news conference in St. Louis on Monday.

"It's just time to do something else, and I knew it," the 67-year-old skipper said. "If we won, if we lost, it wasn't going to change.

The 18-year-old's debut album, Clear As Day, shot straight to the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart and Top Country chart when it was released this week.

A 15-hour flight from Los Angeles landed Robert Pattinson in Chiba, Japan for the start of his world-wide New Moon promotion tour Sunday morning and there were hundreds of screaming fans waiting to greet him.

RadarOnline.com was there when RPattz left Los Angeles Saturday and noted that the Brit actor is now a New York Yankees fan. He was still wearing his Yankees hat when he arrived at Narita International Airport where he signed autographs and took pictures with his adoring fans.
