Aside from flinging hair and commanding huge salaries, what else is expected of four huge actresses in the same ensemble cast?
Appear on the cover of Vogue! Which is precisely what Anna Wintour and her team asked of the women of Nine, the Weinstein Company's forthcoming musical from director Rob Marshall, of Chicago fame.
Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson all play covergirl on the November issue, shot by Annie Leibovitz, playing in the surf at dusk.
Kidman, in a stunning Pre-Fall 2009 Alexander McQueen gown, told the mag that after giving birth to daughter Sunday Rose she was ready to retire.
“I had no desire to work after I had my daughter, but to lure me back, this movie was the only way," Kidman said.
Nine is a deeply stylish adaptation of 8 1/2 and the whirlwind romances of Italian director Federico Fellini.
