Charlie Sheen’s new show is called Anger Management; the mercurial actor might have needed some help opening his mail as of late, as his old pals at Warner Bros. sent him a cease-and-desist letter for using their promotional photos to plug his upcoming FX comedy at a recent trade show. 

Sheen, the FX network and production company Debmar-Mercury received the warning, connected to the exhibition of at least two Warner Bros.-owned pics used last month in January at the Miami NATPE convention, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Abraham H. Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League, issued the following statement Friday in response to the news Mel Gibson would produce and possibly direct a Warner Bros. film about Jewish hero Judah Maccabee.

"We would have hoped that Warner Bros. could have found someone better than Mel Gibson to direct or perhaps even star in a film on the life of the Jewish historical icon Judah Maccabee. As a hero of the Jewish people and a universal hero in the struggle for religious liberty, Judah Maccabee deserves better.

“It would be a travesty to have the story of the Maccabees told by one who has no respect and sensitivity for other people’s religious views.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kutcher – aka Demi Moore’s much younger husband -- is getting a “huge payday” to join the hit sitcom.

Show creator Chuck Lorre, who’s in a lawsuit with Sheen after bouncing the star for erratic behavior, has written a storyline to introduce Kutcher to the temporarily-cancelled CBS hit.

Warner Bros. premiered the highly anticipated trailer Wednesday night during a broadcast of Happy Gilmore on ABC Family, and then it quickly hit the web.
