If there was ever a doubt of the power Vogue editor Anna Wintour has beyond her magazine, take note: even Oprah bends to her Chanel-clad will.

In a much-buzzed-about 60 Minutes interview with veteran journalist Morley Safer, Wintour revealed her "gentle suggestion" that major mogul Winfrey drop some pounds before appearing on the fashion bible's cover.

"I went to Chicago to visit Oprah and I suggested that it might be an idea that she lose a little bit of weight before she appeared in the magazine," Wintour tells Safer.

Wintour says it was all for Orpah's comfort, to look her best while gracing the issue.

With her new movie My Sister’s Keeper set to hit theatres this spring, Cameron Diaz is gracing this month’s cover of Vogue and opening up about her father’s sudden passing, aging gracefully, and the latest love of her life.

Diaz has been dating model Paul Sculfor (and Jennifer Aniston ex) but it’s not the British hottie which has her currently gushing. "I was just really thinking, I can't be away from New York. I'm having a major love affair with it right now," she said about her recent purchase in Manhattan. The actress decided to split her time between L.A. and the Big Apple after shooting What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas there.

As for her status as a sex symbol, the beautiful blonde has had enough. "If you are a woman who's been labeled as a sex symbol, for instance—I mean, I am not saying that's the label people would apply to me. But if you see yourself that way, inevitably you get to a point when you are no longer a sex symbol. And if you can't move past that, you're putting a limit on yourself; you're arresting your development. And that's where I think a lot of women get in trouble.”

“I'm not 25 years old anymore, nor do I want to be. I wouldn't even want to go back to being 30. You know what I mean? That journey—I've done it already. I don't want to do it again.”

One recent rough patch in her life was the sudden passing of her father Emilio at 58 from pneumonia. "I think, emotionally.…it definitely took its toll. Definitely." Diaz said about continuing filming after his death. "It's the human experience. You know, that's what the heart does. Things are given to us, and things are taken away. And I think the heart becomes stronger, more capable."

The issue hits stands on May 19
