Melissa Rycroft wed her Tye Strickland over the weekend, trading his and hers wedding bands designed by Simon G. The Bachelor finalist and Dancing with the Stars alum, who got married in Isla Mujeres, Mexico to her Dallas based beau, wore an Alfred Angelo gown for the ceremony.

Melissa’s wedding band was designed to perfectly fit around her engagement ring, made out of 18K white gold and white diamonds. Tye also had a special three dimensional ring made for her, to symbolize their love and commitment, which she can wear on her right hand or in lieu of her engagement ring. For Tye, the couple designed a brushed 18K white gold band, which had a modern yet classic look.

Proving once and for all that she's moved on, Melissa Rycroft --famously dumped by 'Bachelor' cad Jason Mesnick on live television --married her new guy, hunky insurance agent Tye Strickland in Mexico on Saturday.
The brunette beauty wore a gorgeous strapless Alfred Angelo gown for the 30-minute sunset ceremony in front of close friends and family at a home on Isla Mujeres, a small island near Cancun.
Rycroft --a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader -- was barefoot as her father walked her down the aisle, and after she and Strickland exchanged their vows, an instrumental version of the Monday Night Football theme song played in the background.

Rycroft, 26, and Strickland, 28 met three years ago in their hometown of Dallas, Texas but broke up before Melissa was chosen to be a contestant on The Bachelor last year.

They reunited after she was famously dumped by Mesnick, and became engaged four months later.

Rycroft and fans were shocked when Mesnick told her on The Final Rose live episode that he had picked the wrong woman ( he went with runner-up Molly Malaney) but Rycroft quickly rebounded and joined the cast of ABC's Dancing With The Stars and became a recurring features correspondent on Good Morning America.
Rycroft later said being being jilted was "one of the best things that has happened to me in my life."

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Melissa Rycroft, the ex bachelor contestant and Dancing With The Stars cutie, has swine flu.

“Poor Melissa is really, really sick,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “She was due to do a photo shoot today but had to cancel at the last minute.
“It’s so unlike Melissa, as she’s usually such a pro, so you know she has to be on death’s door, figuratively speaking.”

Poor Melissa has been sick for several days now, on Monday she tweeted, “Why did I wake up feeling like I got hit by a Mack truck last night?? Ughh...stupid flu...”

Melissa was on season 13 of The Bachelor and was given the final rose by Jason Mesnik to then go on to be unceremoniously dumped by Mesnik on national TV for another Bachelor suitor.
But Melissa was quick to bounce back, announcing her engagement to her insurance agent boyfriend, Tye Strickland, six months later. The couple plan to wed on December 12th.

She may have had some bad luck the first time around but Melissa Rycroft is ready for her second attempt at long-lasting love. The Dancing With the Stars alum celebrated her recent engagement to boyfriend Tye Strickland with an impromptu celebration at a local Dallas restaurant, RadarOnline.com has learned.
At Celia’s restaurant, a place the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader had frequented before, a group of about 20 helped the couple celebrate their news.
“A couple of their friends walked in before them,” an onlooker at Celia’s confirmed. “They said their friends had just gotten engaged and asked if there was any room for their party.”
After “a few tables were pushed together” and a bottle of champagne was brought out the festivities began. The affair lacked the usual pomp and circumstance of the typical engagement party but was filled with all the expected joy and celebration.
“They all just showed up, it was really last-minute and casual. They were all about the same age so it seemed like it was just them and their friends.”
“They looked like they were having a lot of fun and stayed until closing at 2 a.m.,” the onlooker added.
