Steve Jobs will receive a Grammy Trustees Awards for his technological innovations in the arts and impact on the music industry, the show's organizers announced.
The Apple co-founder, who died at the age of 56 in October after an eight-year battle with pancreatic cancer, was a "creative visionary" who "transformed the way we consume music, TV, movies, and books," Grammy officials said.
Jobs will be among 12 people honored on February 11, the day before the televised show; others receiving honorary awards this year include Diana Ross, the Allman Brothers and Glen Campbell.
