'Glee: The 3D Movie' Premiere Brings Out The Gleeks

The Gleeks were out in force Saturday night for the premiere of Glee:The 3D Movie in L.A.

Crowds started gathering around the Regency Village Theatre hours before the stars arrived and the photographers started shooting.

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Diana Agron, Ashley Fink, Mark Salling, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Jayma Mays, Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet were all there from the series.

Recent guest star Kathy Griffin brightened up the red carpet, and so did True Grit star and Glee-fanatic Hailee Steinfeld.

The Fighter’s Melissa Leo should have gotten a bar of soap to accompany her Oscar statuette at Sunday’s Academy Awards, as actress cursed during her acceptance speech after winning the honors for best supporting actress.

"I'm just shaking in my boots here," she said, before thanking her co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale.

"When I watched Cate two years ago, it looked so f **king easy," Leo said in reference to actress Cate Blanchett. (Note: the ceremony was presented on tape delay, and ABC was able to bleep out the offensive phrases.)

The Academy Awards is always a yearbook of what's hot -- not just in the movies, but society as well -- and on Sunday night, producers gave a comedic nod to the auto-tune-fueled viral video epidemic, mashing up a number of the year's films in a medley YouTube sensation Antoine Dodson couldn't have done any better.

The sequence featured splices from some of the year's biggest commercial hits, such as Eclipse, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Social Network and Toy Story 3.

The King's Speech’s award once again reigned supreme at the BAFTAs -- the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards -- RadarOnline.com has learned, as the acclaimed film picked up seven honors at the ceremony, which took place at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.

The King's Speech reigned supreme at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, taking home the honors for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion  Picture, while star Colin Firth picked up the Best Actor award. Meanwhile, Natalie Portman won Best Actress for her dark turn in Black Swan, making her and Firth the clear Oscar frontrunners.

Anthony Hopkins led The Rite to a $15 million take at the box office this weekend, earning the religious thriller the number one spot at the box office.  Last week's winner, No Strings Attached, fell to second place with $13.7 million.

It was the Oscar contenders who really benefited from film fans who braved the snow in much of the country though.  The King's Speech, True Grit, Black Swan and The Fighter all finished in the top 10.

127 Hours was put back into release and took into another $2 million, to finish in the 14th spot.

The nominees for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced in Beverly Hills, and The King's Speech ruled with a leading 12 nominations, including a best picture nod and individual honors for Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: True Grit Has True Staying Power

True Grit has finished # 1 in the weekend box office race, an almost unheard-of accomplishment for a picture in its third week of release.  The Jeff Bridges Western epic brought in $15 million in ticket sales.  It edged out Little Fockers, which grossed $13.8 million.

Season of the Witch isn't going to help Nicolas Cage's troubled finances.  His latest flick opened at number three, to a modest $10.7 million.  That doesn't bode well for the actor's asking price going forward.

Little Fockers may have finished # 1 at the box office this weekend, taking in $26.3 million in ticket sales, but it is Jeff Bridges who is wearing the real crown.

Bridges' True Grit finished second this weekend, with $24.5 million in ticket sales and his TRON: Legacy came in third, with $18.3 million!
