Funnyman Conan O’Brien was back to work on The Tonight Show Monday night –joking about a scary fall during a taping of his show last Friday that literally knocked the air out of him.

O'Brien laughed about the accident Monday and even showed video of his wipe-out on the hard studio floor.

"As many of you may know, on this past Friday's show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you're a good audience, I'll do it again tonight," O'Brien said during Monday's taping.

VIDEO: Kanye West In Tears, Tells Jay Leno 'I Am Ashamed'

Posted on Sep 15, 2009 @ 11:00AM - 43 comments

Dressed in all black, a teary eyed Kanye West spoke to Jay Leno for the debut of the comedian's primetime show on NBC.  Leno opened the second half of his maiden program saying it was West who asked to say a few words.

"Its been extremely difficult," West said. "Just dealing with the fact that I hurt somone and took something away from a talented artist. It was wrong and it was a spectacle and it was rude. Period."

When Leno asked what West's deceased mother would think, Kanye paused for 15 seconds and could not speak. Leno placed his hand on the artist's knee and Kanye finally mumbled, "I've dealt with hurt. I am just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else pain. I need to take some time off and analyze and take some time off and figure out how I'm gonna improve".

After the brief interview with Leno, Jay Z, Rihanna and West performed their new single, Run This Town.

A tuxedo clad Jerry Seinfeld was Leno's first guest while Oprah spoke to the pair via satellite.

Can you say "awkward"!  On Monday night's appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, comedian Adam Sandler's strange sense of humor left the audience and host Conan O'Brien speechless.

Upon congratulating Sandler on the addition to his family, the Funny People star declared his new view on va-jay-jays as a married father of two girls; "I don't see women as sexual beings anymore.  When I see a va*#&!, seriously all I want to do is powder it.  I just don't want them to get rashes. It's nothing arousing about it."

It’s season premiere Friday!
First up, Captain Paul Watson and his team from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are back and they’re the one group that stands between a 750-ton whale-killing machine and its prey! Whale Wars follows these ''eco-pirates'' as they fight to end Japanese whaling once and for all. And tonight’s premiere kicks off the most dangerous, drama-filled and controversial season yet!

Some women have been thinking about their wedding day since they were little girls. The room, the flowers, the cake, and of course the dress. But what about their husband-to-be? Don't Tell the Bride gives $20,000 to cash-strapped couples to create the wedding of their dreams. But here's the catch! The couple is split up for the month leading up to the nuptials, and the groom has to pull off the whole thing… in secret! The bride will see the invitations when they come in the mail, the dress, mere hours before she walks down the aisle and the reception venue and meal when she arrives with the rest of her guests! On tonight’s season premiere the poor groom attempts to plan a fairytale wedding while the bridesmaids battle him all the way!

And on the season premiere of Ghost Adventures, the crew heads to California’s haunted Preston Castle. Founded in 1894, the former reform school believed in extreme discipline that included starvation, isolation, public paddling, lashings… and a murder or two! Today, visitors claim to see and hear slamming doors, falling objects, disembodied voices and ghostly physical contact. For the record, I must say these guys don’t hold a ghost bustin’ candle to Sci-Fi’s Ghost Hunters, but you will be entertained watching host Zak Bagans tonight when he becomes convinced he's been possessed by the spirit of a woman who was beaten to death there!
