Matt Lauer is parting with some of his new Today contract money - reportedly $25 million a year -- by purchasing 40 acres of vacant land in the Hamptons.  He plans to turn it into a horse farm for his wife Annette and their three children.

"It’s magnificent,” listing broker Enzo Morabito told The New York Daily News.

The property, with ocean views, is in pricey Water Mill. It was listed at $3,999,999 and Lauer paid closer to $3.5 million.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic have been very open about their struggle to have a baby in wake of her courageous battle with breast cancer, and on Monday, the couple announced they’re expecting their first child via gestational surrogate in an appearance on the TODAY show.

The Mean Girls star said it’s “nice to have people in her life in the same position” and says while she could hit the Hollywood party scene, she’s avoiding it.

Amanda Knox took the stand Saturday in Perugia, Italy, personally appealing the murder conviction that sent her to prison for 26 years.

The Seattle native and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were found guilty in the murder and sexual assault of her roommate, Meredith Kercher.  The two woman were both on a student exchange program in Perugia when Meredith was found with her throat slashed.  A third person, a man from the Ivory Coast was convicted in a separate trial.

Appealing her conviction today, Amanda told the packed courtroom she is not the "dangerous, diabolical, jealous" person the prosecution made her out to me.

"I am innocent.  Raffaele is innocent.  We did not kill Meredith," she proclaimed.

And speaking directly to Meredith's family, who had traveled from the UK for the hearing, Knox said, "I am sorry Meredith is no longer living.  I too have little sisters and the idea of their suffering, their loss, terrifies me."

Knox has rarely been out of the headlines in Italy since the beautiful American was arrested in 2007.  Her family has kept their belief in her innocence on the front burner with numerous appearances on the Today show and other news programs.

Knox and Sollecito are asking that the court review all the evidence, especially the disputed DNA evidence found on a knife prosecutors claim was the murder weapon.

The court may rule on the review as early as December 18.

Lindsay Lohan had another field trip back into the real world, RadarOnline.com has learned. Accompanied by at least two other women from the Betty Ford Center, Lilo went to a book store and the movies, reports Hollyscoop.com.

Trying her best to be low-key and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, Lindsay was spotted at The River shopping center in Rancho Mirage, CA.  The Betty Ford Center is located just a few minutes away.

She browsed for a bit and then bought some magazine, an eyewitness said.

As Border's closed, the group walked across the mall to the Century Theatres multiplex where the new weekend hits Megamind 3D and Due Date had opened earlier in the day.

As RadarOnline.com reported, on Tuesday Lindsay made what is believed to have been her first trip off the grounds at Betty Ford.

She hit up the Forever 21 store in nearby Palm Desert.  In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, store manager Tiffany Bennett described the actress as looking "really, really good."

Managers at Borders and Century Theatres declined to comment about Lindsay when contacted by RadarOnline.com on Sunday.
