A series of shocking photograhs show throat-cancer survivor Michael Douglas smoking again, just months after enduring grueling treatment for the disease. The photos appear in the new issue of Star magazine and were taken July 21, as Michael and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, traveled on a yacht to Porto Venere, Italy.

The legendary actor is clearly seen in photos — and more inside Star — puffing on something that appears to be hand-rolled. In one photograph inside the magazine smoke can be seen coming out of his mouth.

Michael Douglas completed chemotherapy for throat cancer in November and according to his rep Alan Burry, his health continues to improve, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report. 

“He’s doing fine, his health continues to improve and I can see the difference,” Burry told RadarOnline.com.

Douglas, 66, revealed in January that he is in remission for stage four throat cancer after months of intensive treatment.

The chemo and radiation ravaged his body and at one point he was so frail he was in a wheel chair.

Michael Douglas was looking back to health once again as he was spotted leaving a restaurant after lunch in New York earlier today.

The 66-year-old appears to be finally on the mend after a tough battle with cancer, and RadarOnline.com can bring you the photos.

Just over a week ago, Douglas told NBC’s Matt Lauer he's "relieved" to be over the worst part of his battle, as an aggressive eight-week regimen of radiation and chemotherapy eliminated the stage IV tumor in his throat.
