A retired NYPD detective was found guilty of attempted murder, aggravated battery and arson on Thursday after attacking his wife with a hammer, dousing her in gasoline and setting her on fire.

Christopher Hanney, 46, of Tampa Bay Florida, attacked his estranged wife, Audrey Mabrey, 29, because she told him that she was divorcing him, reports The MailOnline.

The couple were sharing custody of their two children and living separately when Mabrey stopped by their marital home in November 2009 and Hanney attacked her.

Julian Ospina Florez, who worked for the wife of a wealthy Tampa couple found dead Monday, is expected to face a judge Wednesday in connection with the shocking murders.

Florez, 31, was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder, Hillsborough Sheriff David Gee said Tuesday, calling the nature of the deaths "very brutal" as both Dr. Hector Rivera, 76, and his wife Debra, 55, had been shot multiple times.

Florez, of Tampa, was booked late Tuesday into Hillsborough County Jail. He was Debra's assistant and driver, police said, adding the relationship had gone sour as Debra had "become distrustful" of him after some of her jewelry vanished. The pair reportedly got into an argument Monday after he drove Debra to fulfill a business obligation in Sarasota.

Micheal Lohan has been bouncing between court, hospital and jail for the past three weeks but is finally a free man, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The 51-year-old entered a 'no contest' plea to four domestic violence charges on Wednesday and was sentenced to two years probation, his attorney Michael Perry told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

"He will not serve any jail time," Perry told RadarOnline.com after leaving the Tampa, Florida court, despite facing a potential four years behind bars.

Lohan is currently being held in a private cell under "administrative confinement" in the infirmary section of Tampa's Orient Road jail, Larry McKinnon, spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

After a week that must have felt like Groundhog Day for Lindsay's dad, the 51-year-old was released from Tampa General Hospital late Friday afternoon where he had been treated for a suspected foot injury and returned to the jail.

Since Lohan, 51, remains in the hospital with a foot injury after he tried to escape police early Thursday morning,  he was booked -- in absentia -- back into the Orient Road jail in Tampa, Florida early Friday morning.

A jail spokesperson exclusively told Radar that Lohan was "remotely booked" into the jail system while still being held at the hospital under police guard, which places him under the authority of the Hillsborough County Sheriff during the remainder of his medical treatment.

"He is still in the hospital and is expected in court on Saturday or Sunday morning," Larry McKinnon, spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
