Things aren't getting any better Tiger Woods. He's now been dropped by his long-time watch-maker sponsor Tag Heuer.
The troubled sportsman made an unimpressive return to the golf course this week after a three-month break due to injury, but it's not just his game which is below par.

With a self imposed hiatus from golf and sponsorships dropping rapidly Tiger Woods is going to have a lot more time on his hands - especially now - with the announcement that Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer has dropped Tiger from their upcoming ad campaign.

On Friday the CEO of the company told the Swiss paper Le Matin, "We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events."

Tiger Woods may no longer be on billboards in Australia, but here in the US, the luxury watch brand Tag Heuer is still using the golfing great as the face of their time pieces.

"What are you made of?" That is the tag line on the billboard with Tiger's face. The advertising campaign was developed before the parade of women who have come forward to admit that they've had an affair with the married father of two.
The billboard can be seen on La Cienega Blvd. in Los Angeles.

The first major sponsor to drop the golfing great was Accenture Ltd. "After careful consideration and analysis, the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising," the company said Sunday, adding that "it wishes only the best for Tiger Woods and his family."

Tiger admitted his infidelity on his website on Friday, but has not been spotted since his Thanksgiving night car accident. RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that the Florida Department of Children and Families has opened an investigation into the Woods family for possible domestic violence in front of the children. Tiger's wife Elin Nordegren was spotted over the weekend without her wedding band.

The fallout from Tiger Woods’ extramarital affairs continues. Shortly after he announced on Friday that he is taking a hiatus from golf, AT&T, one of his major sponsors, released a statement to RadarOnline.com saying they are currently reevaluating their relationship with the pro.

"We support Tiger's decision and our thoughts will be with him and his family,” the statement read. “We are presently evaluating our ongoing relationship with him."

With Tiger literally out of the game, will his endorsements stick around? Gatorade, another one of Woods’ high profile supporters, downplayed dropping his drink by explaining that it was a long-decided strategic move to make way for other products. However, the company has not yet issued a public statement regarding any continued relationship with Woods.

Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer, who recently pulled their Australian advertisements highlighting the golfer, echoed Gatorade’s explanation saying the move had nothing to do with the current scandals.

Woods, who endorses the company’s “Link” range of watches, was involved in the design of the high end titanium “Professional Golf” watch.

Tag Heuer general manager Philip Richards said the removal of the posters from up to 100 distributing stores across Australia had nothing to do with recent developments in Woods's life.

He said the "golf focus" of promotions had temporarily run its course and confirmed Tag Heuer's sponsorship of Woods remained intact.
On Wednesday, Gatorade announced its decision to discontinue it’s “Tiger Focus” drink.
RadarOnline.com reached out to Woods’ other sponsors, Gillette and At&T, who said they refused to comment on their endorsement deals with the golfer.
