Deezer D, the rapper-turned-actor who starred as Nurse Malik McGrath for 15 seasons on ER, had surgery in Los Angeles in July to correct the same potentially deadly heart problem that killed John Ritter, and RadarOnline.com spent the afternoon talking with him as he relaxed at the luxurious West Hollywood spa Gendarmerie.
"I had surgery," said Deezer, whose real name is Dearon Thompson. "I had an aneurysm in my heart," and the actor had to have his aorta replaced and a leaking heart valve replaced in a surgery that lasted six hours.

Deezer D, the rapper-turned actor who starred as Nurse Malik McGrath for 15 seasons on ER, had surgery Tuesday in Los Angeles to correct the same potentially deadly heart problem that killed John Ritter.
Deezer, whose real name is Dearon Thompson had to have his aorta replaced and a leaking heart valve replaced in a surgery that lasted six hours.
RadarOnline.com exclusively spoke with Deezer last Friday about the procedure.
"He'll be in the ICU for the next two days," a friend of Deezer's told RadarOnline.com. "It's the watch-and-wait period now but if all goes well, he'll be moved to a regular floor for another seven days. Once his cardiologist gives the all clear, he'll be home - but with no more cigars and no strenuous exercise for awhile."

Nadya Suleman is home in bed recovering from a third surgery related to procedures to remove benign tumors from the wall of her uterus, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. Nadya checked into Kaiser Permanente in Bellflower, California last week to have the latest surgery performed and was hospitalized for two days. She has been bedridden ever since in her La Habra, California home recovering.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Suleman suffered internal bleeding when she first went under the knife for the procedure in early May. Doctors at Kaiser Permanente in Bellflower, California were forced to stop the surgery at that time, and resume the operation a few days later. Nadya suffered more complications after the second procedure and doctors performed a third operation last week.
Nadya is starting to feel better and has four nannies in her home helping her care for her 14 children.

A 5-year-old kangaroo named Rosie underwent oral surgery to correct a hole that was internally located between her nose and mouth.
Rosie, who calls Healesville Sanctuary, an Australian zoo, home, had been suffering from the problem for more than six months, zoo officials said. The procedure that was performed May 26, called bucchal flap advancement, was administered by Dr. Steve Hooker, an oral surgeon who usually works on humans. Zoo officials said the malady had developed after a tooth root abscess. Zoo staff had previously tried, to mixed results, to cure the condition before the good doctor was sent in to ease Rosie's suffering.

Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman is expected to remain in the hospital for another 24-to-48 hours after undergoing a second surgery within four days.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Suleman -- a single mother of 14 -- underwent her first operation last Thursday to remove benign muscular tumors on her uterine wall, but complications with excessive bleeding forced doctors to suspend surgery at that time.
On Monday, with the complications now over, doctors at Kaiser Permanente in Bellflower, California performed a second operation to finish removing the tumors.
