COUTNDOWN TO ECLIPSE: Kristen Stewart's Tomboy-To-Red Carpet Vixen Style Evolution
Posted on Jun 30, 2010 @ 07:29AM - Add a comment

To celebrate the release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, we have saved the biggest style star of the fanged film franchise for last! Kristen Stewart has been acting since she was a kid, but it was the first installment of the vampire flick, which established her as a powerful player in the Hollywood game. In the past few years, the broody brunette has transformed from a tomboy to a red carpet vixen right before our very eyes.

Kristen started acting when she 9-years-old, landing roles in movies such as Catch That Kid, Undertow and Panic Room.
In 2004, the child actress hit the Sundance Film Festival, looking like your average teenager. Wearing a cropped American Eagle sweatshirt with flared jeans, Converse kicks and a beanie-style hat, the youthful beauty wasn’t exactly red carpet ready!

When Kristen graced the big screen alongside Emile Hirsch in Into the Wild, the world -- and casting executives -- began to take notice of Kristen, and pretty soon she landed herself the role of a lifetime.

Cast as the female lead, Bella Thorne in Twilight, the actress was an overnight star, but Kristen refused to fit the mold of the typical Hollywood starlet. While other girls were glamming up their gowns with Christian Louboutins and Jimmy Choos, Kristen wasn’t afraid to wear a pair of tennis shoes with a Dolce dress! Changing into designer duds after a day of traveling, because the paps are waiting at the baggage claim? Not Kristen, who is always comfortably clothed, while jet setting the world.

Over the last year, Kristen seems to have gotten more comfortable in couture, and even seems to be having a little fun with it! During promotional stints for New Moon, The Runaways and Eclipse, we have seen a different side of the actress, which is less rebellious and more refined.

COUTNDOWN TO ECLIPSE: Robert Pattinson's Male Model-To-Hollywood Heartthrob Style Evolution

Robert Pattinson is one of the most crushed over hunks in all of Hollywood. The Brit boy may have skyrocketed to fame when he snagged the leading role of Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga franchise, but the former male model definitely had to pay his dues along the way!
PHOTOS: Robert Pattinson’s Star Style Evolution
Robert, who hails from West London, began his career as a male model, but transitioned over to acting early on. Catching his first big break in 2005, cast as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, people began to take notice of his good looks and superior acting chops.

When Robert was cast in the first Twilight movie, he transformed from a supporting actor to a blockbuster heartthrob overnight. His rumored love connection with costar Kristen Stewart, scored him multiple covers of weekly magazines and air time on entertainment television shows, making him a household name across the globe.

Robert has quickly become a style icon, because he isn’t afraid of getting dressed on the eccentric side! From leather pants and velvet blazers to maroon Gucci suits, the handsome star always manages to be the center of attention on every red carpet he walks.

COUNTDOWN TO ECLIPSE: Taylor Lautner's Pup-To-Werewolf Style Evolution

Though Taylor Lautner did not become a household name until the 2008 release of Twilight, he was no stranger to the red carpet. Scoring several roles as early as 2001, when he was only nine years old, the child actor has transformed from little boy-to-Hollywood's hottest werewolf right before the public eye.

As a child actor, Taylor always looked super cute on the red carpet, wearing fun but conservative attire. After a flush of small roles, the actor scored his big break with the 2005 flick Cheaper by the Dozen 2, starring alongside Steve Martin and Hilary Duff.

Cast as Bella's pal Jacob in the first Twilight flick, Taylor definitely made a name for himself, but he had a lot of work to do before he was plastered on every teenage girl's wall.

After the first Twilight movie, there was speculation that the average-sized teenager wasn¹t bulky enough to play Bella's werewolf love interest in the second installment of the saga, so Taylor rigorously hit the gym in hopes of saving his fame. Luckily for him---and for us---he transformed his adolescent body into a fine-tuned machine, scoring himself the coveted role, and the girl (he briefly dated his Valentine's Day costar Taylor Swift!).

Now a staple on the pages of men's fashion mags and a front row patron of international fashion shows, the Hollywood heartthrob rocks designer suits and tuxes, along with luxe leather jackets and designer denim on every red carpet he pounces on.

COUNTDOWN TO ECLIPSE: Dakota Fanning's Babe-To-Bombshell Style Evolution
Posted on Jun 26, 2010 @ 09:12AM - Add a comment

It's hard to believe that the impossibly adorable The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Vampiress Dakota Fanning is already a red carpet veteran at 16-years-old. Skyrocketing to fame with her critically acclaimed performance in the Sean Penn tearjerker I Am Sam, the Eclipse stunner has come of age before our eyes, transforming from girl scout-to-glam goddess!
PHOTOS: Dakota Fanning's Star Style Evolution
In her younger years, the blonde beauty used the red carpet as game of dress up, stepping out in girl scout uniforms, princess gowns, kimonos and clogs. In 2006, the child star won over fans in Charlotte's Web, looking adorable on the red carpet cuddling with a pig, but a year later Dakota let us know she was growing up, taking a career risk by starring in the controversial movie Hounddog.
EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Twilight Dad Dishes On Eclipse
In 2008, it seemed like Dakota sprouted into a sophisticated teenager overnight, hitting the red carpet of The Secret Life of Bees suddenly stylish in a scalloped mini dress. Ever since, the high school coed has dazzled fashion critics, wearing sparkling minis from Marchesa, BCBG Valentino and Elie Saab.

What we love about Dakota, is that she manages to look totally glam, while still maintaining her youthful spirit. While many teenage starlets have a tendency to dress beyond their years, wearing over the top ball gowns or way too revealing getup (a la Miley Cyrus!), Fanning opts for dazzlingly embellished minis and sophisticated jumpsuits, which accentuate her body in a non-controversial way.

What is next for the Eclipse star? We think it is about time she scored an endorsement deal of her own!

The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards: Best And Worst Of The Red Carpet
Posted on Jan 23, 2010 @ 07:26PM - 5 comments

It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, as stars traipsed down the red carpet of The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the only awards show where actors get to vote for themselves!
Red was the haute color of the evening, as stars were dressed in various styles of the bold color. Purple and fuchsia also continued their royal reign, as did the non-color white.

One-shouldered frocks, classic silhouettes, and Old Hollywood glamour continued to transpire on the red carpet, though a few stars shied away,
making fab and faux-pas choices hot off the runway!
Carey Mulligan continued to give Hollywood An Education in style, looking fiery hot in a Lanvin strapless, while Diane Kruger looked Glourious in a
mustard yellow floorlength, which designer Jason Wu designed especially for her. Drew Barrymore recovered from her Golden Globes Versace incident,
looking très glam in a blue, strapless floorlength, which featured an asymmetrical tier.

Style slip-ups? Meryl Streep's printed Balenciaga was more suited for a luncheon than an awards show, while the divinely Dior Marion Cotillard ill-fatedly abandoned the French design house for the evening, rocking a one-shouldered Elie Saab, which featuredŠside padding? True Blood's Anna Paquin opted for a nightmare instilling, Spring Summer 2010 Alexander McQueen mini, thankfully leaving the collection's Armadillo heels at home!
