Sadow asked Birkhead why Anna took Klonopin and Topamax, and he said, "Because of seizures Anna suffered from."

Judge Robert Perry was very interested in Anna's seizures and asked Birkhead to further elaborate about her seizures. Birkhead said the seizures were usually induced by stress, and the first time she suffered from one in front of him, "I was very scared and I didn't know what to do." The seizures started in 2000-01 because of the stress related to on going court battles in Texas over her late husband’s estate.
