Twilight Star Jackson Rathbone Injured On Set

Twilight star Jackson Rathbone was injured and was taken to the hospital RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The 24-year-old actor was injured Tuesday while rehearsing a fight scene on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. According to a statement from Summit Entertainment, Rathbone was slightly injured and as a precaution, he was driven to the hospital and checked out by a doctor. He’s fine and is back at work on the set of Eclipse today.”

Rathbone plays Jasper Hale, the adopted brother of Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, in the film series based on the vampire novels by author Stephenie Meyer.

With the release of New Moon only two months away, Twilight mania has hit such heights that fans are dying for any piece of memorabilia which is keeping the police officers in Forks, Washington (where the series is set), very busy.

Police in the little town are noticing that fans are cruising for a wallet bruising during their visits by purposefully trying to get a ticket!

"The last 16 tickets I gave out were to Twilight fans," says Field Deputy Bill Cortani of the county sheriff's office. "And they were actually loving the experience. Normally people are not happy about the experience. But some Twilight fans feel this is all part of the Twilight experience."
Indeed, the last fan asked the officer to pose for a group picture after writing a ticket.
"It felt awkward, but I did it," says Cortani.
Officer Michael Shannon of the Forks police department has seen that being a police officer from Twilight-town can make you a bit of a celebrity. He spent the past weekend's celebration of author Stephanie Meyer posing with fans who wanted his autograph and a picture taken with him.
"It's strange, but I do have people wanting to get speeding tickets from the Forks police department," he says. Some have gone to even greater lengths for that small piece of paper: "I've had people flash me to get an indecent exposure ticket." So far, "it's only been women."
"It's a couple of hundred bucks, but they want the ticket," says Shannon. "I save the tickets for the real bad guys."

Robert Pattison made a big announcement today in Cannes: he’s signed on for the fourth installment in the Twilight series.

Pattinson says a movie based on the book Breaking Dawn will definitely happen—he just doesn’t know when. The fourth title in Stephanie Meyer’s much-loved series follows the marriage of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson.) But with Pattinson’s star on the rise, the vampire flick’s production schedule will have to be worked around his other on-screen roles.
Pattinson will film Remember Me after shooting for New Moon wraps this month. The movie is about two young, star-crossed lovers. Sounds like familiar territory for the actor!
