DVD Review: Drag Me to Hell

Leave it to Sam Raimi to find humor in even the scariest of prospects, like being cursed, harassed by evil spirits and destined to go to hell in three days. In the director’s cut of Drag Me to Hell, which was just released on DVD, the master of goofy horror (not to mention those little Spider-Man films) offers a full dose of his creative vision. Thoughtfully, the DVD release includes the theatrical version of the film and Raimi’s unrated version, which is, apparently, not intended for the squeamish -- nor to be enjoyed with a meal.
Spider-Man Sequels Growing Like Cobwebs!

With Spider-Man 4 set to go into production early next year, Sony Pictures has just confirmed that scripts are in the works for Spidey 5 and 6! James Vanderbilt, who penned the Jake Gyllenhaal-starrer Zodiac has won the assignment. He is also one of the writers on Spider-Man 4.
The big question remaining – will Tobey Maguire be back in the title role with Kirsten Dunst as his lady love? The pair is set for Spidey 4 (scheduled for a 2011 release) but that’s as far as their respective deals go.
An industry expert told RadarOnline.com that a very possible scenario is to replace the now 34-year-old Maguire in 5 and 6, in much the same way the baton was passed from Sean Connery to Roger Moore to Piece Brosnan and now Daniel Craig (with a few other non-notables thrown in) on the James Bond franchise. “A 40-year-old Spidey just doesn’t work,” the source said.
Either way, Spider-Man fans can look forward to another decade of their favorite action hero on the screen.
Spider-Man Starlet Was “Fragile” Says Manager

While police continue to investigate the apparent suicide of British actress Lucy Gordon, her former manager fondly remembers the budding starlet who is best known in the United States for her role as TV reporter Jennifer Dugan in Spider-Man 3. Speaking to RadarOnline.com, Lee Daniels says Gordon was “one of the kindest” women he has worked but admits she was a bit “fragile.”
“She was just like a ball of light that comes charging at you with so much love,” the Monster’s Ball producer said. “In hindsight, she was fragile…like a fragile, little dove.”
Daniel got the former model her first movie role Perfume. “She was so beautiful, totally selfless,” he added. “She was just fabulous…I love her so much.”
“What signs are there, ever, to indicate this [suicide] at all? I thought maybe because she was so sensitive. Just like really caring, sensitive to the world around her.”
Gordon was found dead in her Paris flat on Wednesday morning, hanging from the ceiling. She was just two days shy of her 29th birthday.

She was found by her boyfriend who immediately ran to a local shop for help. He is now being questioned after neighbors told detectives that they had heard the couple fighting on Tuesday night.
