Compact and cute this lil’ poltergeist includes a mini remote control and multiple docking cradles for maximum flexibility with Apple iPod and iPhone devices. SIZE DOESN’T MATTER! The proof of that is the Samson StudioDock Active USB Monitors, which are perfect for music producers (professional and wannabe alike) or anyone wanting crystal clear audio. The monitors provide rich studio-quality speakers for playback of lossless digital quality sound via USB port.
What they lack in size these speakers make up for in sound. We recently tested them and were blown away at the quality, clarity, and design. From the front-mounted volume controls to the input and output jacks, the speakers were easy to setup and use. We had them running in under 5 minutes, which was a great user experience.
The monitors also come with a built-in a iPod dock which conveniently syncs, charges, and plays all your iPod or even iPhone music. In addition to the iPod and USB inputs, the monitors have multiple input options, so they can even be used with other stereo equipment.
GIMME: Chalkboard Speakers

Don’t tell anyone we found this at PB Teen, but this Chalkboard Speaker not only hides your iPod speakers, but you can leave messages on the chalk board, “English HW!,” “Call Jen,” or tell your little sister to stay away from your stuff. Unprintable. But at $180 we’re not rushing out to buy one. Though these other options can cost more, the audio quality is sooooo much better! Check out Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 ($99 - $293),or Logitech Pure-Fi Dream ($148 - $199) or even the lower priced iHome iH9 (black), which offer superior audio sound. Then buy yourself a chalk board for 20 bucks. Hold on….that’s Modern Design calling us on the other line.
