Alice in Wonderland (PG)
Disney keeps the psychedelic vibes going with the DVD edition of its box-office champ less than three months after the film was released. In this throughly modern take on the classic tale, director Tim Burton adds his own quirky flourishes, a few of his favorite muses and 3-D technology to the story of a girl with a grand imagination and a solid sense of sass. Small Town Saturday Night (R)
Even sexy space captains need a break from fighting bad guys and forging diplomacy for the galaxy. Or so it would seem in this under-promoted indie that stars Star Trek hottie Chris Pine as a soulful country singer who must choose between his passion for music and the love of his life. The Wolfman (R)
Benicio Del Toro takes his rugged looks to 19th century England, where he plays a grouchy actor who’s besieged by a terrible curse, and a becomes victim of his father’s dark, tragic secrets. The good news? Even killer-monsters can find love -- in this case, in the arms of his brother’s widow. The bad? A rising body count makes make-out sessions tough.
